See right here for what this collection is about.

Director’s notice: My mates and I made this quick movie/skit for the ultimate evaluation of the Spoken Japanese course in our faculty. I wrote the screenplay in English in two and a half hours and was so pumped up by the mere prospect of directing it with some mindblowing MiSe-En-ScEnE, however issues went downhill fairly shortly, primarily as a result of my inexperience.

I didn’t anticipate the struggles of remembering the dialogues in an alien language(I now respect our maida-maavu heroines extra). I didn’t understand how a digital camera(that too a cell/iPhone) is dealt with and the way lighting works. I made a decision towards retaking some scenes as a result of we have been glad with simply managing to say their dialogue after 6-10 takes(even when the supply was terrible). All our grand plans for staging and enhancing went for a toss as we had three exams on a single day, and we have been completely happy to submit the movie earlier than the deadline, at the least.

I hope you watch the movie and snort/cringe; in any case, it started as a comedy and ended as one :). It was each enjoyable and irritating, overlooking virtually all points(which might be referred to as ‘course’) of the film. We have been concurrently ashamed and amused(extra ashamed than amused) by the output and determined towards crediting ourselves with our respective departments, however I’ve to thank Kartik for serving to with the ‘cinematography’, even when he didn’t take the course.
